
There are several ways you can copy a book author’s WordPress site, and this article will show you the easiest of them.
In this short guide, you will find step-by-step instructions on how to quickly transfer all information from one domain to another without any special skills. We will transfer the author’s site to a new domain using the All-in-One WP Migration plugin
Step 1 – Install WordPress on the new domain

Step 2 – Install the All In One WP Migration plugin on both sites (old and new domains)
Go to your WordPress site’s dashboard. Choose Plugins > Add New. Enter «All In One WP Migration» in the search field. Install and activate the plugin.
Step 3 – Back up your old site
Go to the All-in-One WP Migration panel «EXPORT SITE». Then click “Export to”. After that, a drop-down menu will open, from which you need to select “File”.
Step 4 – Download the archive of the author’s old site to your computer
Wait for the archive to be created and click on the download button in the window that appears.
Step 5 – Import data from the old site to the new domain
Go to the All-in-One WP Migration panel “IMPORT SITE”. Then click “Import from”. After that, a drop-down menu will open, from which you need to select “File”. In the window that appears, select the file with the archive of the old site created in the previous step
Step 6 – Start migrating the book author’s website to the new domain
In the window that appears, click on the “Proceed” button to start transferring the site to a new domain
Step 7 – Finish transferring the book author’s website to the new domain
After successfully transferring the author’s site to the new domain, a window will appear with the message “Your site has been imported successfully!”
Step 8 – Save permalinks structure
In the final step, you need to go to your site’s admin panel after a successful transfer and go to “Permalink Settings” and save your permalinks.
That’s it! Test your new site to make sure everything looks right.
